1. Scope and publisher responsibility
This policy covers Courtcraft Oceania, package org.badmintonoceania.courtcraft, version 1.0.0. It describes the behavior of this exact offline Android release. The organization that distributes the app is responsible for its store declarations and for maintaining an accessible public privacy URL.
2. What this app does
Courtcraft Oceania is an adult role-readiness field guide for badminton coaches, technical officials, volunteers, event crews, organizers and parents or guardians. It offers preset educational material, temporary session tools, an image fieldbook, sources and local controls. It is not a live event service, certification system, ranking service, eligibility decision, reporting channel or emergency tool.
3. Information we do not collect
The app does not request or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, account credentials, identifiers, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, audio, files, messages, attendance, incident reports, disability details, health data, payment information or advertising data. There is no server receiving app usage.
4. Minimal information stored on the device
The app may store only onboarding completion, the last opened section, reading-size preference and reduce-motion preference in Android SharedPreferences on the device. These settings are not intended to identify a person and are not transmitted. Temporary checklists and builders remain in memory only and are discarded when the relevant session ends.
5. Purpose and legal basis
Local settings are processed only to provide the interface choices selected by the device user. Because the app sends no data to the publisher, it does not rely on consent for analytics, advertising, profiling or remote processing. Any publisher obligations outside the app must be assessed separately.
6. Network access and external services
The Android manifest contains no Internet permission. The app makes no network request, embeds no WebView and does not open external links or email actions. Source addresses and the contact address are displayed as plain text so users can independently use a current trusted method outside the app.
7. Advertising, analytics and tracking
The app includes no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, attribution SDK, crash-reporting SDK, telemetry, fingerprinting, tracking pixel or personalized-content system. It does not create an advertising identifier profile and does not sell attention or activity data.
8. Accounts, forms and communications
There is no account, login, contact form, mailing-list form, donation flow, chat, public profile, comment system, user-generated content or in-app messaging. Users cannot submit safeguarding, integrity, health or event records through the app.
9. Children and young people
The material concerns adult roles around a sport in which young people may participate, but the app is designed for adult coaches, officials, volunteers, organizers and parents or guardians. It does not ask a child to provide information, create a profile, communicate with strangers or remain engaged through streaks or rewards. Adults must follow applicable child-safety rules and current approved procedures.
10. Safeguarding and emergency boundaries
Safeguarding Signal is a general decision aid, not a reporting service or investigation tool. The app cannot send a report, message or emergency alert. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services and follow the venue or event emergency plan. For other concerns, use the current approved safeguarding channel. Do not use the app to record names, disclosures or incident details.
11. Health, accessibility and sports guidance
The app provides general educational prompts about court readiness, inclusion, travel and movement. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent a medical or mental-health condition; does not replace a clinician, physiotherapist or emergency professional; and does not promise sports, safety or wellbeing outcomes. Accessibility suggestions should be discussed with the participant and adapted to the actual venue.
12. Permissions and device access
The app requests no dangerous or sensitive Android permission. It does not access the Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, phone, SMS, notifications, Bluetooth, nearby devices, storage or media library. Android may provide standard operating-system capabilities required to display and run the app.
13. Retention, deletion, backup and transfer
Local preferences remain until the user selects Erase local preferences in About & Controls, clears app storage in Android settings or uninstalls the app. Android backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for app data. Temporary selections are not designed for durable retention.
14. Sharing, sale and international transfers
No app information is transmitted, sold, rented or shared with Badminton Oceania, advertisers, data brokers or other companies. Because the app has no remote data flow, it performs no international transfer of app data. Users may independently contact external organizations outside the app; those services have their own privacy practices.
15. Security and user responsibilities
The offline design and minimal storage reduce exposure, but no device is risk-free. Keep the device updated and protected, do not put personal or incident information into screenshots or notes around the app, and use approved secure systems for records that must be kept. The app must not be treated as a confidential record system.
16. Your choices and privacy rights
Users can choose standard or larger reading size, reduce interface motion, erase all stored preferences, clear Android app storage or uninstall the app. Since no personal request is received by the app, access, correction or deletion questions about information held elsewhere must be directed to the relevant organization through a current independent contact method.
17. Policy changes and effective date
This policy is effective 8 August 2026 for version 1.0.0. A future release that changes data behavior must update the in-app policy, public policy and Google Play declarations together. Users should review the policy supplied with the version they install.
